The lessons help me understand topics that I don’t understand at school especially Maltese literature which for me to actually pass is really saying something. The best bit of the lesson is that in the lesson I am able to be myself. I like to make jokes and have fun and that makes the lesson better for me.
In the lessons we do a lot of mind maps and power point presentations. At first I didn’t use mind maps but then I got used to them and now they help me when structuring an essay, and when it comes to power point presentations I was the first to introduce them in the lesson because I realized I could do them in a way that would make them funny and it would help me to remember it by the picture or sentence I would have done to make it funny.
In the lesson we have also been playing games that help me in my studies. The game which proved most helpful was the visual game which proved that I learn by looking at the image and then I remember it. The game is when you have a deck of cards with pictures on them, look at them and when you think you know them, turn them over, get distracted for 10 minutes or 20 minutes and then try and put the cards in the same order. My teacher says that I do the most cards out of all her students.
I think, all jokes aside that it really helps me. I would also like to thank my teacher for all her patience with me, the whole point that she hasn’t left or complained after the first 10 lessons shows that she must really care. I must say that even though I give my teacher a hard time she really does help. (Miss don’t you dare hold this against me).
